The Water Blaster Mini Water Cannon is the smallest of the piston-class blasters by Water Blasters Inc. It is roughly half the size of its big brother, the Water Blaster XLR Water Cannon, but do not let its size fool you; this blaster packs a solid punch. It is also somewhat heavier than one may initially expect, but its weight gives this blaster a good, solid feel while not over burderning the user.

The Blaster ::

water_blaster_miniWaterCannon_14_100Nozzle ::

The Water Blaster Mini Water Cannon has a nozzle larger than most pressurized water blasters, even those no longer in production. Perhaps not quite as a large as a 20x nozzle on older Super Soaker models, the size of this cannon's nozzle means serious business. In the right hands, the Water Blaster Mini Water Cannon's nozzle is capable of producing seriously potent and smooth torrents of pure soakage! The stream from this "mini" cannon easily outclasses most water blasters on the market. The nozzle, in fact, is so large that if one is not careful, some water can actually dribble out of it; there is simply not enough surface tension to prevent air from sneaking in if the nozzle is kept pointing downwards. Of course, as this blaster is both filled and emptied priamrily through its nozzle, its large size makes for quick refilling and, of course, serious drenching. It is possible that the dribbling could be reduced or even eliminated if the nozzle was given a screen, but it is unknown how this may affect stream performance.

water_blaster_miniWaterCannon_1_100water_blaster_miniWaterCannon_14_100Pump ::

The pump makes up the lionshare of this blaster; the Water Blaster Mini Water Cannon is about as minimalistic as one can get. The pumping action of the Mini Water Cannon is smooth, but solid. While the handle grip can be rotated in the housing, this makes for a more natural pumping motion when firing. Additionally, the pump can be easily opened by loosening a fastening nut and pulling the inner piston out from the housing, allowing one to thoroughly clean the internals should any dirt enter it. Of course, being a piston/syringe-type blaster, one only gets one full shot before needing to refill. Granted, one can attempt to do partial shots, but stream performance is reduced if one does not use the full pump stroke.

water_blaster_miniWaterCannon_14_100Grip ::

The grip, as consistent with the rest of the design, is simple, yet functional. The Mini Water Cannon's grip is made of black plastic and is nicely textured, allowing one to hold it firmly. It is angled roughly 45-degrees to the line of the blaster which makes it more comfortable to hold when pumping.

Overall ::

The Water Blaster Mini Water Cannon is a no-nonsense, solid water blaster that offers a great amount of potential power for users with decent arm strength. Its construction feels very durable and the fact it can be opened for cleaning and drying makes caring and maintaining this blaster that much easier. Its main drawbacks are that one needs a large enough open-top water container from which to fill and that the nozzle is so large that the blaster may dribble when filled if one is not careful about which way the nozzle is held. Likely best used around pools or in fresh-water systems, the Water Blaster Mini Water Cannon makes for a great water cannon capable to dishing out more water-per-second than most other stock water blasters available. That said, it only offers you one solid shot at a time so one cannot wander too far away from your refilling device.

Pros

Solid construction; great amount of available power for its size. Large nozzle and smooth-gliding pump-action. Easily opened for care, cleaning, and maintenance.

Cons

Single good shot per fill. Requires both hands to operate well. Needs an open-top container/water source from which to fill. Nozzle can dribble if left pointing downwards when filled due to its large size.
