The Water Warriors Deluge is the smallest of the air-pressure Water Warriors by Buzz Bee Toys Inc. released in 2009. Smaller than even the Water Warriors Hornet and Stingray, the Deluge is even the smallest of all of the air-pressure Water Warriors blasters.

The Blaster ::

Nozzle ::

The Water Warriors Deluge features a single nozzle powered by its pressurized reservoir. The stream produced by this nozzle feels quite smooth and solid, but being both a small blaster and air-pressure-based, the stream is rather thin and does suffer from decreasing performance during prolonged shots. As with most other air-pressure-based systems, if water levels are low, there is also a chance of creating a mist-shot.

Pump ::

The Deluge's pump feels rather sturdy, particularly being semi-tracked beneath the blaster's body; pumping is smooth and easy. The pump grip feels comfortable to hold and its shape should minimize slipping. However, due to the small size of the blaster, the pump stroke length is on the shorter side; nevertheless, it gets the job done without too much effort.

Triggers / Grip ::

The trigger on the Deluge is on the over-sized side, but feels solid and pulls easily. As the trigger appears to respond quite readily to pulls and releases, performing longer blasts or tap shots is quite simple. The grip is short, but textured, allowing one to keep a good hold of the blaster even if one's hand is wet. As the grip is open at the bottom, it can accomodate virtually any hand-size, though fingers on larger hands may end up below the base of the grip.

The Reservoir ::

The reservoir on the Deluge makes up the upper portion of its body, but feels to be on the smaller side even for a blaster of this size. Being a pressurized reservoir, it means one cannot top off after pressurizing and one also must be sure to properly seal the cap after filling and depressurize the blaster before opening the cap, otherwise one may end up damaging the seal, making the blaster lose functionality. The seal on the model tested was a little troublesome to seal properly when fully pressurized due to irregularities on the reservoir-side, but it is hoped that was just a minor problem with the one tested and not a common flaw.

Overall ::

The Water Warriors Deluge is a simple, solid water blaster that offers acceptable power and performance for a blaster of its relative size. The blaster feels quite sturdy as well, though, being a small blaster, it has limited capacity and output. Nevertheless, the Water Warriors Deluge makes for a solid, compact blaster that offers similar performance to a Super Soaker XP215. Just be wary of any larger blaster, of course.

Pros

Solid stream with acceptable power and performance for its size. Blaster looks and feels solid. Comfortable grip and smooth pulling trigger.

Cons

No shoulder strap/hoslter. Only one nozzle setting. Being a pressurized reservoir system, blaster cannot be pressurized, then topped off.
