The Water Warriors Equalizer is the smallest of the cannon-shaped Performance line of Water Warriors by Buzz Bee Toys Inc. released in 2009. Though smaller than its larger brothers, the Water Warriors Renegade and Water Warriors Vindicator, the Water Warriors Equalizer still packs a good punch.

The Blaster ::

Nozzle ::

The Water Warriors Equalizer features a single nozzle powered by its pressurized reservoir. The stream produced this nozzle feels quite smooth and solid, but being air-pressure-based, does suffer from decreasing performance during prolonged shots. As with most other air-pressure-based systems, if water levels are low, there is also a chance of creating a mist-shot. Neither small nor too large, the stream from the Equalizer is respectable for a blaster of its size.

Pump ::

The Equalizer's pump feels rather sturdy, particularly being tracked beneath the blaster's body; pumping is smooth and easy. The pump grip feels comfortable to hold and its shape should minimize slipping. However, due to the overall design of the blaster, the weight of the blaster ends up being more supported by one's pumping hand. This can make the blaster feel somewhat heavy after awhile, though being smaller and lighter than both the Water Warriors Renegade and the Water Warriors Vindicator, it is not as much of a problem.

Triggers / Grip ::

The trigger on the Equalizer feels solid and pulls easily. As the trigger appears to respond quite readily to pulls and releases, performing longer blasts or tap shots is quite simple. The grip, itself, is nicely moulded and feels sturdy, making up the back-end of the blaster. However, while the grip area is large enough to accomodate most hands, since it is a closed area, those with particularly large hands may find it a little tight. Thankfully, the way the packaging is designed, one can easily try holding onto the blaster's grip and pull on the trigger to see whether it feels comfortable to hold before buying. Nevertheless, I believe most would find the grip quite solid and comfortable to hold.

The Reservoir ::

The reservoir on the Equalizer makes up the bulk of its body. As such, it manages to hold a quite respectable amount of water while still having enough air space to allow for proper pressurization (in general, pressurized reservoir systems should not be filled beyond the 3/4 level for best performance). That said, since it is a pressurized reservoir, that also means one cannot top off after pressurizing and one also must be sure to properly seal the cap after filling and depressurize the blaster before opening the cap, otherwise one may end up damaging the seal, making the blaster lose functionality.

Overall ::

The Water Warriors Equalizer is a no-nonsense, solid water blaster that offers respectable power and performance for a blaster of its relative size. It can be considered akin to a Super Soaker Max-D 5000 in pressurization technology and overall performance, but more minimalisic styling (i.e. no fake PC moulding). The blaster feels quite sturdy as well, though requiring both hands to operate well. With a good-sized reservoir and straight-forward design, the Water Warriors Equalizer makes for a solid, compact blaster that can hold its ground against most other water blasters out there. Just be wary of larger blasters with more potent nozzle capabilities, particularly true CPS-class blasters.

Pros

Solid stream with good power and performance. Blaster looks and feels solid. Comfortable grip and smooth pulling trigger.

Cons

Requires both hands to operate well. No shoulder strap. Only one nozzle setting. Being a pressurized reservoir system, cannot be pressurized, then topped off.
