iS SuperSoaker ssmdsc_02tbThe Super Soaker SS MDS is basically an Super Soaker SS 60 with a swivel-nozzle. The nozzle allows one to shoot directly forward or at any angle between completely to the left or completely to the right. This feature is found only on this blaster and allows one to shoot easily around corners without fear of exposing oneself to return-fire. Its water use to capacity ratio is low due to the original-sized nozzle. The separate pressure chamber also allows one to completely fill the water reservoir. Its pump volume is quite small and requires many pumps just to build up decent pressure. The pump itself feels rather fragile. Since it is still based on the original lines of Super Soakers, the SS MDS is a blaster one does not want to fall on or drop.

The Super Soaker SS MDS really only outclasses the smaller Super Soakers such as the Super Soaker SS 50 and Super Soaker XP 20. This weapon should be handled with care and used only for back-up, small water fights or for special operations which require the use of the swivel nozzle. Other than that, its just nice to have a reminder of days gone by.

Pros

Light for its size, easy to carry. Rate of fire-to-water supply ratio quite good and can last a fairly long time (though water yield is low). Swivel nozzle nice for confusing people. This is one of the weapons which helped change water war forever.

Cons

Seems a little fragile. Nozzle size is significantly smaller than the newer weapons and range is more limited. Stream tends to break up at its maximum range. The pumping mechanism is also somewhat fragile. (Don't force it to hard or it will break.)
