Review:

The Super Soaker Pumper II is a relatively simple gun.  It's not much more than a pool cannon with a reservoir mounted on top.  There is a hose that screws onto the reservoir to bring water into the back of the pump shaft when the pump is pulled back.  When the pump is pushed forward the water comes out the front nozzle.  I haven't taken it apart, but probably works by a plunger mechanism with a one way valve so the water doesn't go back into the reservoir when fired.  The range is affected by how fast some one can push the pump in and the reservoir empties in 4-5 shots.  The plastic is a little thinner than in newer guns, but gun itself feels pretty sturdy, though I wouldn't recommend forcing the pump in and out too fast.  The gun feels vary unbalanced because of the top mounted tank.  Overall it is a decent gun with a simple design, not the best range, but has a large output.

Pros:

Large output.  Simple with little components that can break.

Cons:

Very top heavy, rotating pump means that if you just hold the back handle and not the pump then the reservoir flips upside down.  Drips around pump.  Hard to reload because the tank has very small fill hole.  No strap.
